Welcome to Legacy Dance Studio​

Welcome to Legacy Dance Studio (LDS), where we ignite a passion for dance in every student, from preschoolers to adults. Since opening our doors in November 2002 with just 29 students, Legacy Dance Studio has grown into one of the largest dance facilities in Northwest Louisiana. Our beautiful studio spans more than 20,000 square feet and features four spacious dance rooms designed to inspire learning, creativity, and excellence.

For more than two decades, Legacy Dance Studio has proudly introduced thousands of African American children to the art and discipline of ballet while offering high-quality instruction in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, contemporary, lyrical, liturgical, tumbling, and more. Our experienced instructors are committed to helping every dancer develop confidence, discipline, technique, and character in a positive and encouraging environment.

Our mission is to provide affordable, high-quality dance education that develops confident dancers and strong leaders. We believe dance teaches perseverance, teamwork, respect, and self-expression skills that benefit students both on and off the stage.

Community Impact

Legacy Dance Studio is deeply committed to serving the Shreveport community. Through our nonprofit organization, Make A Difference Dance, Inc. (MADD), we provide free summer dance classes, workshops, master classes, scholarships, and performance opportunities for youth. We proudly participate in community events including the Red River Revel and other local festivals, bringing the joy of dance throughout our region.
